Abstract:
The possibility of making distortion maps of the local
mass distribution in a fairly large survey has open new means
of probing the large-scale structures of the Universe.
We show here that surveys of size from 25 to 100 square
degrees will provide extremely precise constraints, down to 5\% accuracy,
not only on the matter power spectrum but also on the
cosmic density parameter $\Omega$. More
precise studies involving multi-source plane analysis
should even provide us with a precise joined determination
of $\Omega$ and $\lambda$.
