Robinson-Trautman holography

Robinson-Trautman holography

The Robinson-Trautman solution of pure Einstein gravity is a rare example of a class of exact time-dependent solutions and provides a non-linear description of the algebraically special perturbations of the (AdS) Schwarzschild black hole. However, the AdS version of the Robinson-Trautman solution is not compatible with Dirichlet boundary conditions, and hence with the canonical holographic dictionary. I will discuss a generalization of the Robinson-Trautman solution that is compatible with Dirichlet boundary conditions and will comment on the type of boundary conditions that the standard Robinson-Trautman solution satisfies. I will also point out a connection between the Robinson-Trautman solution and accelerating black holes.
