Quantum measurement, the stochastic path integral, and optimal control

Quantum measurement, the stochastic path integral, and optimal control

I will present an overview of the theory of quantum measurement, based on my new book, Quantum Measurement: Theory and Practice. I will then give a more focused discussion of our research on the stochastic path integral formulation of continuous quantum measurement, discussing the most likely path, and its application in optimal control of the quantum state for monitored systems.
