Planar maps, circle patterns and 2D quantum gravity

A new model of random planar triangulations is presented. It shares relations with quasiconformal and conformal discrete geometry, Kähler geometry over random distributions of points, ideal tessellations in $AdS_3$ geometry, Polyakov’s 2D gravity and topological 2D gravity. This a joint work with Bertrand Eynard (IPhT).
