Phenomenology of coherent state non-commutativity

Phenomenology of coherent state non-commutativity

In recent years, an alternative approach to non-commutativity has been proposed, which makes use of coordinate coherent states. This model has the advantage of being UV finite, unitary and does not make use of the usual star-product among fields. During the seminar, I will first briefly introduce the main ideas of this proposal. Then, I will consider some phenomenological aspects, focusing in particular on the modifications to quantum field theory on curved space and on the inflationary scenario that can emerge form this theory.
