Phase transitions in bosonic models of frustrated magnets

Phase transitions in bosonic models of frustrated magnets

Bosonic models are currently attracting a lot of attention in the condensed matter community, one of the prominent issues being the possibility to realize a supersolid phase that sustains both crystalline order and a superfluid density. In this talk, after a brief introduction to the current status of the theory for lattice models, I will discuss the possibility to realize this intriguing state of matter in quantum magnets, with emphasis on frustration effects.
