On the possible large impact of small Dark Matter/Standard Model interactions

Small, or even tiny, interactions of the Dark Matter particle with Standard Model particles could easily have a large impact on the DM relic density, on its direct detection, on its indirect detection, as well as on electroweak symmetry breaking. Here I will present two recent works concerning the last 2 issues. It concerns, on the one hand, a systematic study of possible smoking gun gamma line emission from DM decay, and, on the other hand, models where the phenomenologically motivated presence of the (WIMP) dark matter particle around the TeV scale has a crucial impact on electroweak symmetry breaking.
