Looking for Dark Matter

Looking for Dark Matter

Dark Matter constitutes the most of the matter content of the Universe, as a number of cosmological and astrophysical observations now confirm, yet little is known about its nature. While many candidate particles have been proposed, none has ever been directly detected. It is very likely that the solution of the problem lies in one of the new ideas beyond the Standard Model. After a general overview, I will present one such idea, characterized by minimality and predictivity, and discuss the phenomenology and the experimental signatures.
