Is evolution understood? Quantitative questions from a statistical mechanic

ATTENTION : jour et heure inhabituels / unusual day and hour

Although the underlying laws of evolution have been known for more than a century, and there is overwhelming evidence from phenotypic and genomic data for philogenies, remarkably little is understood about the dynamics of evolution. The focus of this colloquium will be on quantitative questions about evolutionary dynamics with prospects for theoretical and experimental progress on various of these discussed.
