In-medium effects and electromagnetic probesin Heavy Ion Collisions
Electromagnetic radiation have the potential to reveal in-medium effects in high energy nuclear collisions, as they constitute hard probes. We review what has been learnt from the SPS photon and dilepton program, and discuss what is in store at RHIC and the LHC.
