Classical Observables from Quantum Amplitudes

Classical Observables from Quantum Amplitudes

The start of the gravitational-wave era has stimulated new interest amongst theorists in making predictions needed by observers at LIGO/VIRGO and future observatories. This includes theorists in the Scattering Amplitudes community. We have started to apply techniques developed over the years for particle physics to the classical observables needed for GW observations. I will discuss one of the approaches to this new application. The seminar will be given in a hybrid format. Interested participants can also join online via zoom https://ijclab.zoom.us/j/94900481972
