Baryon Triality and Neutrino Masses from an Anomalous Flavor U(1)

Baryon Triality and Neutrino Masses from an Anomalous Flavor U(1)

I present a compact U(1) Froggatt-Nielsen model: Baryon triality arises as a discrete gauge symmetry, making the proton stable but still allowing for broken R-parity nevertheless to generate neutrino masses without the need to invoke the existence of right-handed neutrinos. The only mass scale apart from $M_{grav}$ is $m_{soft}$.
