Angular Scaling in Jets

Angular Scaling in Jets

Jets in QCD are nearly-scale invariant fractal systems. From this behavior, we introduced a two-particle angular correlation function which probes the scaling behavior of a jet over a range of angles. I will discuss how this observable can be used for identifying jets from heavy particle decay, for probing perturbative QCD and for studying the non-perturbative physics present at a hadron collider.
