It is with great pleasure that the IPhT greets Monica Guica. Starting September 1st, she joins the StringTheory group at IPhT.

After graduating in Harvard in 2008, and three postdoctoral positions (one at IPhT), Monica got a tenure Professor position in Uppsala in 2014, and en 2015 she was the recipient of a Starting Grant from the European Research Council  « Emergent-BH » (Emergent spacetime and maximale spinning black holes). She now joins the IPhT as a permanent CEA researcher.
