We are pleased to welcome Pierre Fleury, who joins the astrophysics and cosmology group of the IPhT as of February 1st.
Pierre Fleury is a specialist of general relativity and gravitational lensing. After a PhD at the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris in 2015, he successively held postdoctoral positions at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, the Department of Theoretical Physics at the University of Geneva and the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. His research program covers both very formal aspects, such as the study of backreactions in alternative theories of relativity or the study of the concept of emergent gravity, and phenomenological aspects such as the exploration of gravitational lensing effects in a wide variety of contexts.
He now joins the IPhT as a permanent CNRS researcher of section 02.
We welcome him !
