In this talk I’ll present status of the ultra-high energy cosmic rays after publication of the first results of the Pierre Auger experiment. I’ll discuss astrophysical aspects connected to study of the Galactic and extragalactic magnetic fields and search of the UHECR sources as well as particle physics problems connected to discrepancy between observational data and predictions of the hadronic interaction models.
