I have two aims with this talk. First, I want to stress how strong the analogy is between black hole microstates and anti-brane constructions of de Sitter vacua and how topology might creep in. Then I want to interactively go through my recent work on the fate of the polarized state underlying the KKLT construction, and possible issues of that treatment.
