I will give a gentle introduction to the positive Grassmannian and the amplituhedron, a geometric object that was introduced in the context of scattering amplitudes in N=4 super Yang Mills. I’ll then explain some of the connections of the amplituhedron to combinatorics and to cluster algebras. [The talk will be streamed online, please ask the organizers for the link.]
