The neutrino challenge to SUSY SO(10) GUTs – towardsthe bitter end of the minimal scenario
The quality of the fits of the matter fermion masses and mixings within a class of SO(10) GUTs with one 10 and one 126 dimensional Higgs representations shall be commented on in detail. The present status of the minimal renormalizable SUSY SO(10) GUT will be briefly reviewed and it shall be argued that this scenario, despite its attractivity, can not accommodate all the physical quark and lepton mass and mixing data.
