I will discuss the possibility that one of the components of the gamma ray sky as seen by the Fermi-LAT might be due to dark matter annihilation products. I will present the estimation of the possible galactic and extragalactic backgrounds. Moreover, I will present results on the dark matter signatures associated with anisotropy analysis, as well as on the high latitude diffuse emission.
