We review recent advances in the physics of high Tc Cuprates, including charge orders and unit cell orders observed ubiquitously in the under-doped region of these compounds. We then discuss the strange metal phase of these materials and make a suggestion to explain the anomalous transport properties, like the resistivity linear in temperature and temperature controlled Drude-like optical conductivity.
