<p >A brief review of RHIC data suggesting the QCD plasma may be effectively<span > </span>strongly coupled will be given. The picture of the perturbative QCD<span > </span>plasma will be compared and contrasted with the picture emerging from<span > </span>studies of the strongly coupled plasma using the AdS/CFT conjecture.</p>
