Precise QCD predictions for electroweak boson production at hadron colliders

I will describe the main motivations for precise theoretical predictions for kinematic distributions of electroweak gauge bosons at hadron colliders. I will describe new methods for the computation of QCD corrections for such observables at higher orders in perturbation theory and I will discuss recent results for the rapidity distribution of electroweak gauge bosons at the Tevatron and the LHC. Finally, I will show extensions of the method for general computations of fully differential cross-sections at higher orders.
