Strongly Correlated Electrons
The Rencontres Claude Itzykson are a now well-established tradition in our laboratory, where they take place once a year. They are conferences dedicated to the memory of the late Prof. Itzykson, and focus on topics at the cutting edge of modern theoretical physics.
The Eleventh Itzykson Meeting (June 21-23, 2006) will be devoted to some aspects of the theory of strongly correlated electronic systems, including:
* Cuprate superconductors from different perspectives.
* Quantum criticality in itinerant electron systems, in particular in heavy fermions compounds.
* Frustrated Magnetism and the possibility of non-Ginzburg-Landau quantum critical points.
* Electronic Transport in low dimensions.
The format of the meeting is intended to encourage the exchange of ideas between experts in the different topics. Students and post-docs are strongly encouraged to participate to this event.
