I will review the general construction of non-extremal black-hole and black-brane solutions of N=2, d=4 and d=5 supergravity coupled to vector multiplets, and their properties. I will describe the explicit solutions of afew models, their extremal (supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric) limits, entropies, non-extremality functions etc. and a formalism that simplifies dramatically the search and construction of those solutions.
