The New Frontiers of QCD
This year, for the first time since the series began in 1996, the Itzykson Meeting (June 9-11, 2004) will be devoted to Quantum Chromodynamics. In both its theoretical and experimental aspects, QCD is an important research activity in a number of Paris-area physics departments. Three decades after the discovery of asymptotic freedom, the coming Itzykson Meeting will provide an opportunity to bring together key figures in the field and young researchers to reflect on past progress and examine the new frontiers of QCD.
The meeting will focus primarily on topics under active study in the Paris area and particularly at Saclay:
* perturbative QCD and precision tests
* high density and high temperature QCD matter
* non perturbative methods in QCD
