Long range correlations in exactly solvable models and the replica trick

Long range correlations in exactly solvable models and the replica trick

Correlation functions of Calogero-Sutherland model can be studied using the replica method from the theory of disordered systems. In this talk I show how replicas arise while performing averages in the ground state of this model and present some recent results for the off-diagonal correlations. I will also discuss how these correlation functions appear in the physics of one-dimensional bosons in the strongly interacting regime.
