We consider the D1-D5 brane system. In the context of the AdS3/CFT2 correspondence with small N=(4,4) supersymmetry, string theory on AdS3 x S3 x T4 is dual to the deformation of the symmetric product orbifold of T4. We consider a particular family of D1-D5-P states with left-moving excitations in the dual CFT and compute the lifting of these states as one moves away from the orbifold point in the moduli space. We discuss special properties of the states in the maximally-twisted sector of the orbifold CFT.
