Le Salon Computationnel – Scientific Python for Fun and Profit (6/6) Bistro SymPy

noindent An informal and hopefully pedagogical introduction to SymPy, a computer algebra system in Python. First we will show many examples of usage of ubiquitous tools like: derivatives, integrals, simplifications, matrices, arbitrary precision numbers, … If time permits, we will then dive in slightly more advanced topics (pitfalls, expressions tree, patterns and replacements, …) This lecture is part of Michele Vallisneri's Salon computationel and will last around 2 hours. Personal laptop is not mandatory. Jupyter notebooks will be available a few hours before the lecture at the URL: https://www.ipht.fr/Docspht//search/article.php?IDA=12255 (Organizer: IPhT/Sylvain Ribault)
