noindent “Quantum Glasses” par The interplay of geometric randomness and strong quantum fluctuations is an exciting topic in quantum many-body physics, leading to novel quantum phases in strongly correlated electron systems. Using Quantum Monte Carlo simulations, I show how quantum glass regimes in diluted antiferromagnets naturally emerge close to the quantum phase boundaries of their undoped parent compounds. These glassy regimes can be characterized by the response of local clusters to externally applied magnetic fields, and thus feature particular sequences of magnetization plateaus which are experimentally observable.
