Glassy behaviours:from physics to algorithms and information systems
Glassy systems display a dramatic slowing down in their dynamics without any simple signature of emerging long range order. I will provide a more precise description of this type of phenomenon and discuss how it emerges in a variety of contexts ranging from discrete mathematics to modern communication systems.
