Generalized complex branes, tachyon condensation and T-duality

Generalized complex branes, tachyon condensation and T-duality

Generalized complex geometry gives rise to a notion of generalized complex submanifolds as graphs of B-fields. In the case of generalized complex structures corresponding to the A and B models, these graphs correspond to the known A and B-branes. As the graphs all have the same dimension, gauge fields and transverse scalars can be treated on the same footing. I will explain how D0 brane-antibrane pairs, with different winding sectors attached, can condense into D2-branes. I will also comment on the embedding of branes into the T-folds that geometrize some non-geometric backgrounds.
