<p>A large experimental effort is geared towards measuring the shape of the galaxy power spectrum over large volumes. While a lot on emphasis is placed on the cosmological information that can be extracted from the Baryon Acoustic Oscillations signal, I will take a somewhat complementary approach and I will highlight some of the science that can be done with the broad-band shape of the power spectrum.</p>
