I will discuss recent theoretical and numerical results on the flow of packings of frictional grains. The scaling structure discovered experimentally by O. Pouliquen (Marseille) emerges naturally from these results, building a connexion between the rheology of granular flow and the fundamental micro-mechanics of the corresponding grain packings.
