Conformal Symmetry in the Color Glass Condensate
The color glass condensate is a dense system of gluons that is formed inside hadrons in collisions at high energies. I study this system in an approach based on the resummation of large logarithms of the energy of the collision. The resulting amplitudes turn out to be conformally invariant in two-dimensional impact parameter space. I discuss recent progress in constructing an effective conformal field theory or even string theory for the description of the color glass condensate.
