ANR Dimers meeting at IPhT on 18 October 2022

The dimer model and related models of statistical mechanics keep raising questions almost a century after they were defined: limit shapes and fluctuations, integrability, connections to gauge theories... Physicists and mathematicians try to solve these questions by using methods from quantum field theory, combinatorial bijections, representation theory, differential geometry and discrete complex analysis.

Several specialists of the field in France will meet at IPhT on Tuesday 18 October 2022 for a series of talks. The scientific program is as follows

web page

10.15-11.15: Thierry Lévy (LPSM, Sorbonne Université), Recent progress in Yang-Mills theory in two dimensions
1.30-12.30: Jean-Marie Stéphan (ICJ, Université Claude Bernard Lyon-1),
2-3: Béatrice de Tilière (CEREMADE, Université Paris-Dauphine), The dSKP recurrence: combinatorial aspects and geometric systems 3.15-4.15: Nikolai Kuchumov (LPSM, Sorbonne Université), A variational principle for multiply-connected domains in Domino world.

The talks will take place in person in room Itzykson. They will also be broadcast live on BBB (write to the organizers to obtain the link
Organizers: Jérémie Bouttier and Sanjay Ramassamy
