Hubert Saleur wins the 2025 Ampère Grand Prize of the French Academy of Sciences.
The French Academy of Sciences has awarded the 2025 Ampère Grand Prize from Électricité de France to Hubert Saleur and Jesper Jacobsen.

Researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Physics (IPhT) and professor at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (USC), Hubert Saleur studies physical problems in regimes of very strong interactions or out of equilibrium by elucidating and exploiting the mathematical structures (such as generalized symmetries) of quantum field theory. He is particularly interested in critical phenomena, mesoscopic systems, quantum electronics, and geometric statistical problems
Jesper Jacobsen, professor at Sorbonne University (LPENS), is a regular visitor to the IPhT and collaborates with Saleur and other researchers at the institute.
Congratulations to both winners!
