The Euclid Consortium publishes new scientific results and data from the Euclid space telescope.

The Euclid Consortium publishes new scientific results and data sent by the Euclid space telescope. Three areas of the sky, with a total surface area of 63 square degrees, have been observed and analyzed by the collaboration’s scientists. These data, which represent just 0.45% of the observations planned for Euclid over the next few years, have already enabled a lot of advances to be made, illustrating Euclid’s extraordinary ability to contribute to all areas of astrophysics. This data release has been dubbed “Q1”, for “Quick release 1”. France is the leading contributor to the mission and responsible for steering the Consortium.

An event linked to these publications was organized by Euclid France on March 19 from 2 to 4 pm at the Strasbourg planetarium. Francis Bernardeau (IPHT/CEA), deputy director of the consortium, accompanied by French researchers from the consortium, presented these unpublished results, as well as the Euclid mission.
