\\ arXiv:1607.01222. \\ \\ Abstract (résumé ci-dessus) \par Surfaces in $R^3$ are characterized by two quadratic forms which define three PDEs (Gauss and Codazzi) among their four coefficients. By adding the constraint that a surface be applicable on a given surface while conserving the two principal curvatures, Pierre-Ossian Bonnet integrated these PDEs in 1867 with the sixth Painlevé function PVI, long before its official discovery in 1905. \par After recalling the theories of Painlevé, we will show that an unexpected by-product of these Bonnet surfaces is a second order isomonodromic matrix Lax pair of PVI much more natural than that of Jimbo and Miwa. \\ arXiv:1607.01222.
