After discussing the motivation for composite Higgs as a solution to the eluding naturalness problem, I will briefly review what is commonly known as the minimal composite Higgs model (MCHM). I will then consider three ideas beyond the minimal framework: 1) Extending the composite Higgs sector, 2) NLO corrections to the strong sector and 3) some alternate ideas for an 4d UV completion of composite models.
