Michel Bauer has been the Head of the IPhT for 6 years, until 31 December 2016. Not only he is a  great scientific with a lot of human qualities, but we are especially grateful to him for the kindness and the friendliness for countless solicitations from everyone.
François David is his successor from the First of January 2017. We thank him a lot for having accepted this  task, essential for the institute,  and we wish him the most of happiness and energy for his new functions.
