The CRM invites Bertrand Eynard on an Aisenstadt Chair

Bertrand Eynard has been nominated by the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (CRM) in Montreal on an Aisenstadt Chair, for the second semester 2015, related with the thematic semester devoted to the topics AdS/CFT, Holography, Integrability.

This Chair will give him the opportunity to give a series of lectures on his work, and  to write a monography, jointly published by the CRM and the American Mathematical Society.

Since their creation in the 1970', the Aisenstadt Chairs have welcome the the CRM the most prestigious mathematicians.

Bertrand has been a permanent member of IPhT since 1995. He has worked on the theory of random matrix models. Together with his former student Nicolas Orantin, he has developed the method of "topological recurrence", which has since then spread into various domains of mathematics (knot theory, geometry of Riemann surfaces, algebraic geometry) and theoretical physics (integrable systems, topologocal string theory..).

Congratulations!
