The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) is the largest international congress in the mathematics community, and is the most important event in the community of pure and applied mathematics. It is held once every four years under the auspices of the International Mathematical Union (IMU), and will take place in August 2014 in Seoul, South Korea.

The program includes prestigeous plenary and invited lectures. In the section Mathematical Physics, among the invited speakers are two researchers of the IPhT, Bertrand Duplantier and Bertrand Eynard, as well as Rinat Kedem, one of the regular visitors of IPhT.
