The Meeting "Progress on Old and New Themes in cosmology" (PONT d'Avignon 2008) is organized by the IPhT and will take place in Avignon from April 21st to April 25th, in the conference center of the Palais des Papes. It will gather about 90 to 100 scientists working in cosmology and particle physics, from all over the world, in an informal and lively atmosphere. There will be a limited number of review talks by leading experts in each field, fostering thorough and hopefully lively debates. Ample time will be allocated to all the discussion sessions on the issues introduced during the reviews. There will also be a small number of contributions on special topics.
