Description and Main topics
This school will be mostly directed at PhD students and postdocs, but also to established researchers who want to get acquainted with these aspects of QCD.
- QCD at high parton density and the nuclear wavefunction at small x
- Initial conditions in hadronic and nuclear collisions
- Thermalization, instabilities, and turbulence
- Kinetic theory
- Hydrodynamics
- QCD at finite temperature
- AdS/CFT and the physics of a strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma
- Hard probes, jet quenching
- Correlations and fluctuations
- Experimental results from RHIC and prospects for the LHC
In addition, a number of more specialized topics will be addressed in the form of seminars.
