Multi-scale amplitudes at two-loops in QCD are an essential component for making precise predictions relevant for LHC phenomenology. Unfortunately, their computation proves a formidable challenge for traditional techniques. In this talk we discuss an alternative approach - numerical unitarity - and salient details of its application to five point two-loop scattering amplitudes in QCD.
