We consider the integrable higher-spin extrension of the Heisenberg XXZ model under the presence of boundary magnetic fields and the SUSY sine-Gordon model with the Dirichlet boundary conditions as the continuum limit of the spin chain. The appearance of the boundary bound states are obtained by using both the numerical calculation and the nonlinear integral equations derived from the T-Q relation. Through explicit calculation of the boundary energy, it is determined whether the boundary bound states contribute to the ground state or not. par If time is allowed, I would refer to the multi-state extension of the asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP), which is constructed in a manner that keeps Uq(sl2)-invariance of the model.
