Abstract:
Particle distributions in nucleus-nucleus collisions can be measured not only as a function of the transverse momentum and rapidity, but also as a function of the azimuthal angle with respect to the reaction plane.\ I first recall how the orientation of the reaction plane can be estimated when collective flow occurs in the system.\ I then present a general method to correct the measured azimuthal distributions for the statistical error made in estimating the reaction plane.
